About the Module

The University of Virginia is committed to open, fair, and effective recruitment and selection processes. This learning module, covering the policies and procedures in place to enable our collective efforts, is designed as a support for University hiring officials, search committee members, and stakeholders as they seek talent that will drive excellence at our institution. While it is recommended that anyone who will connect with applicants or candidates as part of the overall evaluation take the course, only hiring managers and designated search committee members are required to complete the module.

This module is available in UVA Workday and should take approximately 30 -  45 minutes to complete. Your progress is tracked and visible via the Course Outline. You can log in and out of the system as needed to complete the module. Once completed, your certificate is valid for a period of two years after which time you must re-take the module in order to participate in future recruitment and selection processes.

You may access the module at any time, even after completion, to assist you during your search.
